Before your session
Arrive in comfortable clothing and let your practitioner know if you have any particular areas you’d like to focus on. Your practitioner will position the Compex electrodes over the appropriate muscle groups and ensure they’re fitted comfortably before your session begins.
We recommend staying well hydrated, particularly if you’re using Compex following exercise.
During your session
A session goes for 30 minutes. You’ll relax comfortably while the Compex device delivers controlled electrical impulses through electrodes placed over your chosen muscle groups.
You’ll feel the muscles gently contract and release as the stimulation moves through the program. The intensity can be adjusted throughout your session to suit your comfort level.
Unlike a workout, you aren’t required to actively exercise during Compex. Simply sit back and allow the targeted stimulation to support your muscles while you relax.
After your session
Once your session is complete, the electrodes are removed and you can get straight back to your day. There is no required downtime.
Your muscles may feel lightly activated following the session, depending on the intensity and program used. Staying hydrated and allowing your body adequate recovery time is recommended.
